The vision of the Waltham Arts Council’s founding members has endured for over 40 sucessful years.
2021 brings a bright future for the Waltham Arts Council. We have been re-building and re-focusing our mission to be more representative with the vision of our founding parents. In that spirit, we are developing new programs, new opportunities, new experiences and an all inclusive direction.
Our mission is to celebrate Art and Culture while bringing the Waltham area community together.
Our 2020 year was a bit of a challenge and we were forced to cancel some of our routine programming. But our flagship event, the Concerts on the Common, maintained but in a different manner. Thank you to WCAC and the Waltham Health Department for helping figure the logistics of moving to an all virtual weekly concert series during the pandemic.
We hope at some point this year things will begin to return to normal and we can resume our standard events, Concerts on the Common, Community Sing-A-Long, we are looking into sponsoring trips to cultural institutions, Instructional art classes for children, a night with the Waltham Show Choir and of course our Bill Walsh Scholarship in the Fine Arts fundraiser.
With our mission comes new opportunities. Opportunities for your involvement through your ideas and volunteering. Opportunities for community support through sponsorships, attending an event or becoming a member of the Arts Council.
We cannot continue to provide and develop quality programs without your help. We ask for your continued membership pledge. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining any one of our committees. Your input is very important to us.
Please review our Membership Application or use Paypal and join online. Complete and mail it back with a check made payable to The Waltham Arts Council.
