Hello Concert Goers,

I'd like to welcome you to this years season of "Concerts on Waltham Common" sponsored by the Waltham Arts Council. Our concert series will begin on July 8th and run through August 26th. Again, this year we have scheduled rain dates for all our concerts. Please check the flyer for complete rain date information. As always, in case of possible cancellation due to weather, please call 781-893-ARTS for information or log on to walthamarts.org.

At this time I would like to thank all of those who help make these concerts possible - Mayor Jeannette A. McCarthy, the City Departments we call on, especially the Park and Recreation Department. Also to Ken Schaffer, the Moody Spa and Spectrum Sound. And all the Arts Council Board Members and friends who volunteer their each week.

But most importantly, I want to thank those companies and individuals who have sponsored one
of our concerts or who have provided additional funds to make these concerts possible. They are all listed elsewhere in this program.

Your support is really needed to be able to continue these concerts, either by donating to our collection or by becoming an Arts Council member. All the money from the sale of refreshments and the collection taken during the concerts go towards helping defray the costs of presenting "Concerts on Waltham Common". In fact, this money represents about a third of our budget.
